Indian Navy released the recruitment notification and application for several posts and administrative jobs in Indian Navy. The candidates who are eligible for Indian navy post can apply through online on or before 10 July 2019.

Indian Navy Sailor Recruitment Vacancy consists of two posts: Sailor AA and SSR in which Sailor AA has 500 posts whereas Sailor SSR has 2500 posts.

Sailor (AA) Indian Navy

The candidate must score 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics and chemistry / biology / computer science from recognized board exam by Government of India.

Sailor (SSR) Indian Navy

The eligibility criteria for SSR must be 10+2 examination with minimum marks on Mathematics, Physics and chemistry/biology/computer science from recognized board exam by Government of India.

The age limit for the candidates for both the categories must be 01 Feb 2000 to 31 Jan 2003.  These birth date candidates are only eligible to join Indian Navy.

Indian Navy Exam Pattern for Navy Jobs

The Indian Navy conducts the pure computer-based exam for the post of AA and SSR to join Indian Navy.

The question paper consists of four sections that include English, Science, Mathematics and General Knowledge. The total time duration for the computer-based test to join the Navy is one hour.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT) to Join Indian Navy

Medical Standards

To join in Indian Navy a normal computer based and PFT is not enough to get through. You must undergo medical standards from the medical examiner.

Medical examination will be conducted by the authorized military doctors as per the medical norms and standards prescribed in regulations for sailors on entry.

There is a requirement for minimum height and weight to enter in the Navy job. The candidate must be 157 cms height and weight and chest should be proportionate. Minimum chest expansion must be of 5 cms.

The candidate who appeared for Navy must be in good in physical and mental health and he must be free from any defects likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duties both ashore and afloat under peace.

Preliminary Medical Examination will be conducted by Medical examiners will be considered only as provisionally fit subject to fitness in the final medical examination.

Candidates who wish to join the Indian Navy are advised to clean their ears for wax and tartars removed from teeth are only subject to the medical examination.

Final Enrolment of medical examination in Navy of all selected candidates will be held at INS Chilka.

Candidates who are unfit in medical fitness are advised to appeal against at INHS Kalyani, Visakhapatnam with a period of 21 days if they wish to go.

Visual Standards: Better Eye 6/6, worse Eye 6/9 for without glasses; Better Eye 6/6; Worse Eye 6/6 in case of with glasses are eligible to apply for Navy job.

Tattoos

Permanent tattoos are only permitted on forearms and inner face is acceptable whereas tattoos on other parts of the body are not acceptable.

Indian Navy Qualification and Examination Fee

To join in Indian Navy, Indian Navy qualification must be minimum 10+2 qualification with aggregate marks of 60% I all subjects that include Mathematics, Physics and chemistry/biology/ computer science from recognized board exam by Government of India.

Examination for applying the job post in Indian Navy is Rs.205/- whereas SC/ST has exempted from payment fee. The exam fee must be paid only through online through internet banking or Credit / Debi card of Master/VISA/ Rupay.

Pay and Allowances

Once you are shortlisted for Indian Navy Job post you receive a stipend of Rs.14, 600/- per month in your training period. On successful completion of training, you will be placed to Level 3 of Defence pay matrix of Rs.21,700 to Rs.69,100.

In addition to Level 3 pay, you get the allowances like MSP @ Rs.5200/- per month plus DA @ Rs.6200/- per month.

Promotion on Indian Navy

Promotion prospects exists from Level 3 to Level 8 of Level 8 of the Defence Pay Matrix of Rs 47,600- Rs 1, 51,100 plus MSP and DA are applicable.

Indian Navy Syllabus to Join Indian Navy

The syllabus of Indian Navy SSR and AA is divided into four parts Science, mathematics, English, and general awareness.

The syllabus on science includes organic and inorganic chemistry, laws of motion, thermodynamics, gravitation, semiconductor devices, human body, food, and computer science.

English involves grammar,, verbal, vocabulary, active voice, passive voice, preposition, synonym, adjectives, etc.

Mathematics syllabus includes trigonometry, number system, logarithms, integral calculus, probability, binomial theorem, matrices, coordinate geometry, and three-dimensional geometry.

General awareness is about general knowledge in sports, national and international facts, current affairs, books & authors, history and geography, capitals and currencies.

The candidate must apply for the job only through online. The registration process requires your address proof, 10+2 marks, must have active email ids and mobile numbers.

Ways to join the Indian Navy as an office for Women candidates

Every year UPSC conducts entrance for twice in a year for male candidates and their age must be between 16.5 to 19 years. The recruitment process will be held in May and December.

Girls can also join in Indian Navy after graduation and they are admitted as an Officer and not as a Sailor. They can join in different branches like logistics, flying branch, law, architect, medical, etc.

SNAES (Special Naval Architecture Entry Scheme): Women who have completed a degree in Architecture from recognized university or school can apply for this SNAES post through Indian Navy.
