Desirable Educational Qualification and Eligibility Criteria for the IICB Scientist Recruitment 2019:

  • Applicants should be of Indian citizenship.
  • For filling the application of the Scientist Vacancy in the IICB (Indian Institute Of Chemical Biology) candidates should have the D. degree in any of the concerned field (Medicine/Health Science/Biological Science).
  • Has researching experience using clinical samples.
  • Has wide expertise in the field of epigenetics/metabolic syndrome/animal biology.
  • Candidates need to mention that he/she posses that educational qualification/experience in any of the relevant areas required for the post for which he/she is applying till the last date of the online application, in that case only if the university/institute has awarded the candidates CGPA/OGPA/SGPA grades etc.

  • Only outstation candidates will be called and considered eligible for the interview who have fro single second class rail fare from the actual place of the undertaking of the journey and also from the normal place of the residence, which is also nearer to Railway Station of Kolkata or the place of interview on the production of the Rail Tickets, Rail Tickets No. or any other proof of journey.

Job Responsibilities:

  • An eligible selected candidate is required to work independently and with team members in and outside of the institute and in the above areas and in other related Research programs.
  • Period of experience in any of the discipline or area of work shall be counted after the date of the minimum prescribed educational qualification acquired for that Grade.

  • Scientists in CSIR will also be allowed for the consultancy and also the sponsored R&D project activities. Through these activities, they will be given a scope of earning consultancy fee and honorarium as per the guidelines governed by the CSIR.

Step-1: For First-time users, have to register themselves by clicking on ‘New Applicants Sign In’ link on the home page. You are required to type in a ‘User ID’ & a ‘Password’ and have to fill up the details as required. Note that you can apply for more than one post by using the same ‘User ID’.

Step-2: After login click on the ‘Show Detail’ link with respect to the posts for which you are wishing to apply.

Step-3: Detailed advertisement can be viewed on the screen.

Step-4: On the bottom part of the Advertisement in the green bar, four menus are shown ‘How To Apply’, ‘Terms & Condition’, ‘Apply For This Vacancy’ and ‘Close’.

Step-5:  Before filling the application form, you may click on the Link of ‘Terms & Conditions’ for reading all the ‘Terms & Conditions’ of the page carefully.

Step-6: Then, if you are satisfied with all the ‘Terms & Condition’ given for the application filing; now you may head to filing application details.

Step-7: For this, you have to click on the ‘Apply For This Vacancy’ button.

Step-8: After completing the filing of the online Application, click on ‘Submit’.

Step-9: After that, the screen will now show the application number of the candidate and also a menu called ‘Print Application Summary Sheet’. Note Down the application no. of the candidates & by clicking on the “Print Application Summary Sheet’. The Application Summary Sheet will be displayed on the computer screen.

Step-10: Take a Printout of this Summary Sheet, you can also find the summary sheet of this application by logging in the Home page.
