About NCAOR
The National Centre for Antarctic & Ocean Research is also known as NCAOR. It is an Indian research & development institution, located in Vasco, Goa. It is an autonomous Institution of the Department of Ocean Development, Govt of India which is responsible for administering the Indian Antarctic Program & maintains the Indian govt’s Antarctic research station, Maitri. The National Centre for Antarctic & Ocean Research was formed on 25 May in the year 1998, with Dr. P C Pandey as its founding director. NCAOR is called for its participation in global experiments, hosting of international conferences & in the leadership of foreign committees concerned with Antarctic science. Currently, The National Centre for Antarctic & Ocean Research is an agency working under Ministry of Earth Sciences, Govt. of India since 2006, by the notification of the President of India.
NCAOR Project Scientist B & C Jobs 2017 Edibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
For Project Scientist C Post: Interested candidates must have completed Masters Degree in Marine Science or Marine Biology or its equivalent education or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in the relevant subject from any authorized university or its equivalent with at least 60% minimum marks in the qualifying degree level. Must have Three years of experience in teaching at the graduate or post-graduate level / /administration, planning/supervision or training/ research and development/survey etc. in the fields of Marine Microbial Ecology & Biogeochemistry supported by scientific publications. Aspirants must have Experienced in Scientific Expeditions & related data analysis.
For Project Scientist B Post: Interested candidates must have completed Masters Degree in Chemistry/Chemical Sciences/Chemical Oceanography or its equivalent /Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in the relevant subject from any authorized university or its equivalent with minimum 60% marks in the qualifying degree level. Also, have Three years of experience in teaching (at graduate or post graduate level)/research and development/ survey/ administration/ planning/ supervision or training etc. in the relevant field of hydrothermal exploration relevant to nature or responsibilities. Aspirants have Experienced in participation of Scientific Expeditions, Sample Collections, & analysis of chemical parameters, data analysis, & interpretation
Age Limitation: The aspirant’s age limit should not be more than 40 years for Project Scientist C Post and 35 years for Project Scientist B Post.
Selection Procedure: The candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the Personal Interview.
