The online application procedure for Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) Junior Engineer (JE) vacancies has been started on Wednesday, January 2, 2019. The applicants can apply online through all the district based official websites till January 31, 2019. The first phase Computer based test is expected to be held either in April or May, 2019.
The Indian Railways will be signing for a total of 13,487 posts of Junior Engineer (JE) Junior Engineer (Information Technology) [ JE(IT)], Depot Material Superintendent (DMS) and Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant (CMA). The entire recruitment procedure will be in three stages — stage I Computer Based Test (CBT), stage II CBT, and document verification/ medical examination as applicable. Assortment is done strictly as per merit, on the basis of CBTs.

Applicants should register using their accurate mobile number and valid e-mail ID as all recruitment related information will be sent through SMS and e-mail. The RRBs will not entertain any appeal for change of mobile number and e-mail address at any stage. Here are the documents required to register:
— Scanned passport size photo(20kb-50kb) of the applicant.
— Scanned Signature(10kb-40kb) of the applicant.
— Scanned SC/ST certificate (50kb to 100kb), of the applicant.
Fill in the particulars – personal and educational both. Read carefully the application form to dodge any error. After final submission, the details in the application (except mobile number, email id and State) can be edited by the applicant with the modification option. However, this alteration requires extra fee of Rs.100/- each time which is non-refundable. The alteration is allowed only twice.
Railway recruitment 2019: CBT exam details
There will be two-stage Computer Based Test (CBT). The RRB will follow marks normalisation to make the shortlisted applicants list. RRB-wise shortlisting of applicants for the second stage CBT will be done at the degree of 15 times (the number may vary). The shortlisting of stage-II of the CBT will be based on the excellence of the applicants in the first stage CBT. The RRB-wise shortlisted applicants for 2nd Stage CBT will be advised through the official websites of RRBs and e-mail to download their e-call letter for appearing in the 2nd Stage CBT.

Railway JE 2019 Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit: As of 1st January 2019, the minimum age of the applicants must be 18 years and the maximum age limit is 33 years.
