About SPSC
Sikkim became an integral part of the Indian Union in May, in the year 1975. The Constitutional Provision under Article 315 to have a PSC for the State was fulfilled by constituting a State Public Service Commission in 1978. The Public Commission has actually started functioning from the year 1982 with the appointment of the Chairman & deputation of the staff from the State Govt. Thereafter the Commission commenced functioning in different rented buildings. At present, the Sikkim Public Service Commission is situated in the classrooms of the Old West Point School Complex. Consequent upon the decision of the UPSC to declare Gangtok as one of the Centres for organizing Union Public Service Commission Examinations, the SPSC has been entrusted with the work of organizing Union Public Service Commission examinations.
SPSC Assistant Professor Jobs 2017 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Interested Candidates must have done the degree of Master’s from any authorized university of education in the relevant subject with 55% Marks. For more about educational qualification, you can check the official notification.
Age Limitation 30th September 2017: The minimum age limit for the candidates is 21 years & the maximum age limit for the candidates is 40 years.
Age Relaxation: The upper age relaxation will be 5 years for SC/ST & 3 Years for OBC aspirants.
Application Fees: The application form fee will be Rs. 150/- & candidates need to send the original Bank Receipt of State Bank of Sikkim, for Rs. 150/- credited to ‘0051-SPSC’ to Examination community with the application form.
