About SVVU Trupati
Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University is a state university situated at Tirupati, Chittoor district, AP, India. It was formed in the year 2005 by the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh and focuses on veterinary studies. Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University marks its beginning with the formation of the College of Veterinary Science in Bapatla in the year 1955, which was shifted to Tirupati in the year 1957. During the golden jubilee celebrations of the college, which were inaugurated on September in the year 2004 by Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, the then Chief Minister of AP, he announced the formation of the university. This took form with the Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University Act, 2005, which was passed on 30 March in the year 2005. The university was officially inaugurated by Reddy in the premises of the college on 15 July in the year 2005
