The exam is section wise and it is important to achieve sectional cut off and also overall cut all. During the time of preparation, it is important to spend time on each and every section based on your strength and weakness. Have a regular habit of reading the newspaper, practice quiz, read the editorial daily. Divide and spend time in all the sections.

General and Financial Awareness

The section consists of 50 questions and you will be given 35 minutes to attempt the section. You can be strong in this section only when you have the practice of reading the newspaper every day. You must improve your knowledge in general knowledge, recent trends in the banking sector and also in current affairs. If you do not have the habit of reading a newspaper at least from now starting reading the newspaper when you read a name of the country you should know the capital, president, prime minister and several other details. It is must to read at least 6 month’s new from the date of the exam.

General English section

In the section, the number of questions will be 40 and you need to answer them in 35 minutes. This is a bit tricky section where you should have some knowledge in English and also reading and understanding capacity should be good enough. The topics like synonyms, antonyms, error spotting, Para jumble, double filter, etc will be given and you need to answer questions with your English knowledge.

Reasoning ability and computer

A number of questions in this section will be 50 and the time given to answer them is 40 minutes. This is also the section that can help you to gain more marks if you are strong enough in the area. The topics like syllogism, direction sense, alphanumeric series, and puzzles have to be given importance. Some analytical and verbal reasoning questions might appear to be tricky so read them clearly and answer them.

Quantitative Aptitude

You will be given 45 minutes to answer 50 questions in this section and for most of the candidates; the nightmare section is the quantitative aptitude. You need not to worry too much because the question will not be so tough as if you can’t even clear the sectional cut off, but to boost the score you will really need to work hard. Concentrate in approximations, simplifications, DI and case let DI also concentrate in some of the application problems in the topics of mixtures and allegations, speed time and distance, SI, CI, profit and loss and Ratios. If you feel you are a week in this section spend more time for them and prepare well to gain more marks.

Time management is one of the hardest parts in the bank exams, practice well with a number of online tests with sectional timing. Also, take tests in the areas that you are a week in separately. Do not be stressed at the same time do not underestimate any of the sections, sometime they might be easy and sometimes very tough. So be prepared to face the questions with any level of hardness. Do not expect any sections to be easy, fix yourself that the section is going to be hard and prepare according.

Be careful in attempting the question because you have a penalty of 0.25 marks for all the wrong answers. Be wise and make the right choice in the selection of questions and also in giving preference for the question that has to be attempt first.
