West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board will be conducted the WBJEE Examination 2018 on 22nd April 2018 at the various examination centers in West Bengal State. About WBJEE
West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination is a state-govt.controlled centralized examination, organized by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board for admission to many private & governmental medical & engineering Institute in West Bengal State. The test is taken after the 12th grade for admission to graduate courses. The written examination can be taken by those who studied in Science stream in plus two level with the specific subjects tested in the written examination, which are Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. There is actually two separate exam for medical (also called WBJEE Medical) & engineering (also called WBJEE), the difference being that the medical examination has the Biology paper while the engineering examination has the Mathematics paper.
Each and Every year approximately 3 lakh people take the examination & it is increasing. Candidates of both West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education & the central Indian School Certificate board take the written examination, though it is dominated by the former. It’s a prestigious exam, & there are few candidates of science stream in West Bengal who don’t take at least one of the two exams.
West Bengal JEE Registration Form 2018 Eligibility Criteria
Academic Qualification: The candidates must have passed the 12th level examination or equivalent from a recognized University /Board scoring with at least aggregate 45% (40% for SC/ST/PWD/OBC category of candidates).The contenders must have Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects with optional subjects as Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/Technical Vocational subjects (Engineering drawing/computer science) and should have passed each subject individually.
Age Limitation as on 31st December 2018: Candidates must have lie between 17 to 25 years of age.
Application form Fee: Candidates must have to pay application form fee of Rs. 500/-.
Selection Criteria:
The selection of the candidates will be based on the marks obtained by the aspirants in the written examination. The Merit List will be prepared and the aspirants can check their status from that Merit List. aspirants can know the WBJEE 2018 Examination Pattern for the upcoming written examination. There will be three parts of the exams. Total time duration of the examination will be 2 hours & maximum marks will be 200.
