About WBBSE
The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education is shortly named as WBBSE. It was established in the year 1951 under an Act of the West Bengal Secondary Education Act of 1950, along with its headquarters situated at Nivedita Bhavan, in Bidhannagar, a suburb of Kolkata. WBBSE is the West Bengal state govt administered autonomous examining authority for the Class 10 examination (or secondary school level exams) of West Bengal, India. This board is an autonomous body of the WB government. The Madhyamik examination is organized annually & simultaneously all over the West Bengal State by the WBBSE and it is also in affiliates of the board situated outside West Bengal, elsewhere in India. More than 10,50,000 examinees take the examination each and every year.
